Cellulite Treatment - Parafango Wrap

A Parafango Wrap is a scrub and body wrap which can reduce the appearance of cellulite and promote inch loss.  This treatment is applied from your abs to your knees to reshape and recontour your silhouette.  Parafango is a unique mixure of Paraffin wax and natural Fango mud (from the sea).  Paraffin wax is widely used as a moisturizing hand treatment.  Fango mud contains natural clay and a variety of healthy sea minerals such as silica, sodium, magnesium, potassium, calcium, bromine and iodine.

 

What should I expect during my treatment session?

Our massage therapist will consult with you to help decide as whether to focus more on cellulite or inch loss.  Special temperature adjusted treatment products are applied to raise your body temperature and increase perspiration.  Your legs, glues, back and stomach are exfoliated to increase circulation and remove dead skin cell buildup.  A thick layer of Parafango is brushed over your body and then you are wrapped.  You remain wrapped while our massage therapist provides a special massage for your face and scalp.  After 15 minutes, the body wrap is removed and the recontoured you is revealed!

 

What is the recommended follow-up?

A series of 5 treatments (i.e. one treatment session a week for five weeks) for toning and firming is highly recommended.  A series of 10 treatments (i.e. 1 treatment session a week for ten weeks) is best for cellulite reduction.  Increasing your overall hydration is an important part of the treatment process.  8-10 glasses of water intake per day helps to eliminate waste products and toxins.  Special treatment products (available from our office) for your at-home use are recommended to intensify your results.
