The Consultation

You will have a private, in-depth consultation with Dr. Back where he will review with you everything you want and need to know. After an examination, together you will discuss your goals and his recommendations. All the details of the procedure will be reviewed and you will also have ample time for questions. Typical “before & after” photos as examples are on hand as a part of this process.

 

The Procedure

Liposuction, such as Smartlipo laser liposuction to recontour the neck and jawline is an outpatient, office procedure taking 1-2 hours. Tiny, nearly invisible nicks hidden under the chin or earlobes are used. The laser melts the fat but also tightens the skin at the same time! Excessively loose skin might make a mini-facelift or a necklift more realistic options. The incisions for these operations are designed to resemble the natural folds and creases behind the ear.

 

The Recovery

Whether liposuction or an actual surgical procedure are needed, most patients will likely be “presentable” in about a week. A special support band we supply helps to assist the healing process and minimize bruising and swelling. The results should be evident within about a week and will continue to improve for many weeks thereafter.
