Avoid aggravating dietary triggers like grains, corn, peanuts, eggs, soy, and dairy.  Gluten is probably the main culprit – even for those without a true gluten sensitivity.  Limit your intake of acidic foods (e.g. tomatoes) which tend to stimulate sebaceous gland activity.  Foods rich in Vitamin A – like carrots or sweet potatoes, and those with some extra zinc – shellfish, clams, or chickpeas, can really help to reduce acne lesions!
